Adhesives for Cut and Bond Bricks

S-2357E

DESCRIPTION
S - 2357 E is a two-part, cold curing epoxy adhesive.  It is soft (highly thixotropic) and so is gunnable from twin cartridges.  S - 2357 E can be used to bond damp surfaces.

APPLICATION

S - 2357 E may be used to bond or seal clayware and brick joints.

INSTRUCTIONS
Reference should be made to the Material Safety Data Sheet.  The surfaces to be bonded should be clean and free from dust.  Fit the twin cartridge into a suitable dispensing gun.  If the material is to be dispensed without a static mixer then it must be mixed thoroughly by hand.  Preferably fit, to the twin cartridge, a static mixer with a number of mixing elements sufficient to ensure that the adhesive emerges thoroughly mixed.  This is indicated by the originally brown and beige parts emerging an even colour, without streaks.  The mixed adhesive is applied to one surface, the other surface is offered up and the two pieces kept in position until cure is substantially complete.  Should there be a process requirement to move the bonded item before 24hrs then the integrity of the bond should be tested for in a close simulation.
