  • Engineering and Assembly Adhesives

    A collection of single and two part adhesives used to bond plastic and metal in engineering, assembly, manufacturing and fabrication applications.

    High strength bonds can be obtained on metal and plastic using adhesives as an alternative to conventional methods of joining. Adhesives can save costs on labour and energy when compared to other methods of joining metals, glass and plastics, for example spot welding. Also there is the added advantage that dissimilar engineering materials can be successfully joined without a problem.
    Engineering manufacturers are constantly introducing new materials such as engineering composites and polymers. Adhesives are an ideal solution for joining these materials successfully.

    Structural Single Part Epoxy. Single part, heat cured epoxy adhesives. It cures to very strong, durable bonds on any surface not deformed by the heat.

    Structural Single Part Epoxy Lower temperature. S-157E is a single part, heat cured, epoxy adhesives.

    S-2056E
    Structural 15 Minute Epoxy Adhesive. Clear, rapid cure epoxy adhesive curing in about 15 minutes.

    S-205E
    Structural Shimming Compound. A metal filled epoxy shimming compund having a very high compressive strength (7500 psi, 52 Mpa). It is a thixotropic paste used to bed machines to the floor. It also serves as a mock metal to shim metals to the required shape.

    Structural Battery Adhesive. A two part epoxy adhesive for bonding battery cases and for sealing around battery terminals.

    S-500A / S-10A
    General purpose adhesive, bonds a wide range of materials, confers good heat and impact resistance. This variation is used as a premixed adhesive (mixed adhesive on one surface).

    Has good gap fill. It has good adhesion to metals and plastics.

  • Marine Adhesives and Sealants

     

    A specialised range of Adhesives, glues and sealants, boyancy aids and void fillers specifically designed for the marine and boat industry.

    S-251E
    Self-levelling void filler, SG 0.8. It can be poured into waste spaces e.g. between hull and keel, or under the toilet. It thereby converts a void into a structural member. It has good adhesion and compressive strength. It is flame retardant and a buoyancy aid.

    S-291E
    Mixes to a creamy paste, SG 0.4, which can be used to bond insulation panels and buoyancy aids.

    S-322E
    Is a deck sealant, very flexible and slow curing, work-life 8 hours.

    S-334E
    A general purpose adhesive having a 3 hour work life. It cures to a tough, resilient film and will bond a range of materials.

     

     

  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering

     

    Structural Adhesives Limited manufacture and sell a range of potting compounds of various cure times and viscosities for potting electrical and electronic components to provide anti-tamper and anti-vibration protection to electronic circuitry and electrical installations.  We also manufacture adhesives for bonding electronic components onto circuit boards and adhesives formulated for bonding the magnets onto loudspeakers.

    Structural Pink and Green Reactive Acrylic Adhesive. A toughened reactive acrylic structural adhesive with a work life of 3 minutes, capable of providing bond strengths of up to 3700 psi (25MPa).

    Structural Epoxy Road Marker. This is a white slump-free epoxy coating designed to mark triangles on road humps.

    Structural Playground Adhesive. It is designed to bond rubber blocks into playgrounds to make safe areas for children.

    Structural Concrete Repair. This is designed to repair concrete kerbs and steps and to this end is coloured grey.

    Structural Superfast Ceramic Adhesive. It is similar to S-288E but has a rapid cure.

    Structural Epoxy Edge Marker. A pourable epoxy paste. It is usually white but can be made in other colours. It is used to make reflective strips by pouring into a line of grooved bricks.

    Structural Driveway Binder. Is a mobile epoxy offered as a binder for gravel in the construction of driveways.

    Is a two part, cold curing epoxy supplied in twin cartridges. It can be injected into cracks in concrete, or into spigot joints on concrete pipes.

    Structural Chemical Fixing. S -2495 E is a two part, epoxy based chemical fixing for fixing bolts/rag bolts to structural walls and floors.

     

     

  • Adhesives for Cut and Bond Bricks

    Adhesives and glues for Cut and Bond Specials:- A range of brick adhesives we manufacture and sell to the brick manufacturers and brick cutters, includes standard brick glue S-288E, fast curing brick adhesive S-2511E and S-2300E adhesive designed for damp brick bonding. Brick glues come in 12kg sets which will be enough for you to bond up to 2000 joints based on 8g per brick joint.

    All our brick glues are supplied in a natural buff colour as well as a range of colours to match the brick surface.  There is also an option of purchasing pigment pastes for tinting your own adhesive.

    Summer and Winter grades are available for  all types of brick adhesive to enable you to bond bricks all year round with the same confidence that they will be cured in time for your customers reuirements.

    Each brick adhesive has been designed to be easy to mix and apply, cure to matt finish and be crisp: cutting off cleanly without marking the surface of the brick. All our brick glues are also tested by an independent laboratory for Freeze/Thaw in accordance with section 5.1 of BS 3921:1985. They withstood 100 cycles without any defect and have been classified as frost resistant.

    The glues have also been tested for compressive strength of 70Nmm2.

     



    S-2300E
    Structural Damp Cut and Bond Adhesive. Bonds special bricks that are not fully dry. It cures to a matt finish. It is offered in a range of colours.


    S-2511E
    Structural Fast Cut and Bond Adhesive. Is very similar to S-288E but has a work life of 30min. and a cure time of 3 hours. It is available in the same colours as S-288E.


    S-288E
    Structural Standard Cut and Bond Adhesive. Combines a long work-life with fast cure enabling special brick bonds to be handled next day. The product is available in a wide range of colours. A colour matching service is available.

     

    S-2357E

    A two-part, cold curing epoxy adhesive.  It is soft (highly thixotropic) and so is gunnable from twin cartridges.  S - 2357 E can be used to bond damp surfaces.

     

  • Brick finishing Products

    Paints, lacquers, putties and other products for decorating, resurfacing and finishing bricks of all types.

    Structural Brick Perforation Filler. Used to fill perferations in bricks so that they can be formed into cants.

    S-2432E
    A two part epoxy putty, colour matched to order, that can be easily worked into firing cracks of special bricks and can be shaped to repair chipped edges.

    Structural Matt Epoxy Paint. Water born epoxy paint S-2630E is a two-part epoxy emulsion paint that cures to give a durable matt finish on Brickwork, Stonework or Concrete. The mixed paint can be applied by Brush, Roller, or Spray gun.

    Structural Marking Paint. An epoxy paint offered in a range of colours. Bricks that have been milled to create special shapes can be painted and 'kissed' with sand to create a rustic effect. It is also excellent for painting clay or concrete products.

     

  • Adhesives for Brick Slip Bonding

    Adhesives for Bonding Brick Slips: - Two part and Single part adhesives and glues for bonding brick slips and cladding panels to a variety of substrates. Can be used for cladding new and old buildings for refurbishment and new build.

    Structural Brick Slip Adhesive. A two part,cold curing adhesive designed to bond brick slips and special bricks that are not fully dried. Its rapid rate of cure enables work to be moved after about 4 hours.

     

    S-2665E

    Structural Brick Slip Application Adhesive. An extrudable version of S-2625E. The product is dispersed through a static mixer thus avoiding hand mixing.

     

    S-732U

    Structural Versatile Flexible Adhesive. It is a single part adhesive that is excellent for attaching Brick Slips to insulation board.

    A two-part cold curing epoxy compound, which is mixed with sand to form a pointing mortar for brick slip panels.

    S - 2576E
    A two part, cold curing epoxy adhesive designed to be extruded from a twin cartridge.  S - 2576 E is available in a range of colours and has very rapid cure.

    A clear two part, cold curing epoxy lacquer.  S - 2283 E is designed to repair cracks and coat faces of sand-faced bricks.

     

    S - 2425E

    A two part, cold curing epoxy paint.  It is easy to mix being made of two weak pastes.  It is easy to paint in that it does not drag, it is also non-drip.

    A two-part cold curing epoxy sealant.

     

    S-2630E

    Structural Two Part Toughned Epoxy Adhesive. It is a rubber toughened epoxy and cures to a flexible film used to bond mesh to the frame in the manufacture of sieves. Its use in the manufacture of mud slurry filters exploits its high impact resistance.

     

    S-2088E

    Structural Endcap Sealant. An end-cap sealant which resists the action of methanol, and of various oils at temperatures up to 150C

     

    S-2197E

    Structural Endcap Moulding Compound. A mobile sealant which wicks easily into the filter pleats even with a tight zig-zag.

     

    S-2249E

    Structural Filter Assembly Adhesive. Suitable for bonding polyester filter media to mesh support frame, good resistance to fatigue testing by pulsing with compressed air test exposed at 60C

     

    S-387E

    Structural Lower Density Filler. Is an end-cap sealant. It is light weight, flame retardant and approved for use on aircraft air conditioning system.
