S-222E
S-222 E is a two-part, cold curing epoxy designed for filling grooves in clay and concrete marker blocks.
The particular features of S-222 E are:-
it has a good, dense colour
it is solvent free
it is economical in use
it can be made reflective or non-slip
S-222 E is applied by pouring into the grooves and recesses in marker blocks.
When the epoxy is semi-cured, glass beads or flint chips can be added to the surface to create a reflective or non-slip finish.
INSTRUCTIONS
Reference should be made to the Material Safety Data sheet and the labels on the product. All neighbouring joints should be pointed with mortar prior to pouring the paste into the grooves/recesses.
The blocks should be dry, clean and free from grease/dust. Mix all of Part 2 into all of Part 1 thoroughly with spatula or scraper 25 to 38 mm wide, ensuring there is no residue of Part 2 left in its container. Carefully pour the mixture into the grooves or recesses until flush with the top of the marker block. Protect the surface until cure is almost complete. This will usually be the next day but traffic should be kept off the filling for a further day or two.
It is advised not to attempt this work below 10o C.
