S-386E
S-386 E Epoxy Adhesive is a two part, cold curing adhesive. The speed of cure can be increased and the viscosity decreased by heating one or both parts.
S-386 E cures to a tough, acid resistant polymer capable of bonding ABS, HIPS (high impact polystyrene), other hard plastics and metals.
APPLICATIONS
S-386 E is primarily designed to bond battery cases, exploiting its acid resistance.
S-386 E will bond metals, timber and most rigid plastics.
INSTRUCTION
Reference should be made to the Material Safety Data Sheet before use.
Ensure that the surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from dust and grease.
Heat Part 1 to the required temperature, mix thoroughly with Part 2 in the ratio given
below. Do not mix more than can be used within the work-life of the mix.
Inject the mixture into the channel in the battery case and assemble the two components.
Put the assembly to one side to cure, jigged or clamped if necessary. Do not disturb until
cure is substantially complete.
